Photography Guidelines
While some users generously offer to submit their own photographs, obtaining the actual cigar remains preferable when possible. Creating museum-quality cigar photography requires specialized studio equipment, consistent lighting setups, and considerable practice. Even skilled photographers with access to quality gear may produce images that differ stylistically from others on the site.
Additionally, at least one example of each cigar passing through our hands is archived for potential future technologies — such as 3D scanning — that may require recapturing the entire collection.
