Construction and Presentation
Vegueros Especiales No.1

As a handmade Cuban cigar, the Especiales No.1 represented the craftsmanship associated with Cuban cigar production. The vitola featured the classic Laguito No.1 format, characterized by its slender ring gauge of 38 and generous length of 192 millimeters. This combination created an elegant, panatela-style smoking experience that allowed for a prolonged and contemplative session.

The cigar was presented with the standard band A designation, maintaining visual consistency with the broader Vegueros line. Collectors and smokers could acquire these cigars in semi boîte nature boxes containing 25 units, a presentation that highlighted their traditional Cuban heritage.

History and Availability

The Especiales No.1 entered the Cuban cigar market on January 1, 1997, as part of the regular production lineup under the Vegueros marca. The brand itself draws its identity from the tobacco farmers, or "vegueros," of the Pinar del Río region, paying homage to the agricultural roots of Cuban cigar culture.

After thirteen years of production, the Especiales No.1 was discontinued in 2010, joining the ranks of Cuban cigars that have been retired from active production. Today, remaining specimens are primarily found in collector circles and secondary markets.
