Packaging and Presentation

The Hermitage was presented in numbered dress boxes containing ten cigars each. The total production run reached 6,000 units, making this a genuinely limited offering for collectors and enthusiasts. Each cigar bears the standard Ramón Allones band D alongside the distinctive Regional Edition secondary band marked "Rusia" to denote its exclusive Russian market designation.
Release Timeline
Although officially designated as a 2017 release with a January 1, 2017 date stamp, the Hermitage actually reached the market in early 2018. This timing discrepancy between official dating and actual availability is not uncommon in the world of Cuban cigars.
Art Nouveau Series Jar Release
In 2021, Russian distributor Top Cigars Corporation introduced an innovative repackaging of the Hermitage. One hundred ceramic jars, each holding ten cigars, were created from unsold box inventory. These jars feature elaborate decoration showcasing "Landscape with Red Roof," a painting by renowned artist Alexej Jawlensky.
This jar release marked the second installment in Top Cigars Corporation's Art Nouveau Series. The inaugural release in 2020 had featured aged Vegas Robaina Clásicos presented in similarly artistic jars with different artwork.
Collectibility
The Hermitage represents an interesting piece for collectors of Regional Edition cigars, particularly those focused on Russian market exclusives. The subsequent jar release adds another dimension of collectibility, with the artistic presentation making these pieces especially appealing to connoisseurs who appreciate both fine cigars and visual art.
