Release History
Though officially designated as a 2019 release, the Novedosos has experienced an unusual path to market. The cigar was formally unveiled at a launch event held in Spain during 2019, with initial reports suggesting a limited number of boxes reached distributors around that time. However, widespread retail availability remained elusive for several years.
Unverified accounts indicate that select VIP clients may have gained access to limited production runs beginning in 2021. It was not until mid-2023 that the Cohiba Novedosos finally appeared in meaningful retail quantities, making this one of the more intriguing distribution stories among recent Habanos exclusives.
