Cohiba Coronas

Ramón ValdésRamón ValdésEditor-in-Chief

Few cigars mark such a brief but notable chapter in the storied history of Cuba's most prestigious brand like the Cohiba Coronas. Introduced to the market in 1988, this regular production vitola enjoyed only a short run before being retired from the lineup in 1992. Despite its limited time in production, the Coronas remains a point of interest among collectors and enthusiasts who appreciate the evolution of the Cohiba portfolio.

Discontinuation

The discontinuation of the Coronas in 1992 is attributed to a size overlap that emerged with the launch of the Siglo Series. When Cohiba expanded its range with the Siglo line, the dimensions of the new offerings rendered the Coronas redundant within the brand's portfolio, leading to its retirement from regular production.
